In the IPL 2023 mini-auction on Friday, December 23, the West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder was purchased by the Rajasthan Royals for INR 5.75 crore. During the IPL 2023 auction, the IPL 2022 runners-up made their first bid for English batter Harry Brook, but with only INR 13.2 crore available, they lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad. With a winning bid of INR 5.75 crore, the Royals beat Chennai Super Kings to acquire Barbados Royals player Jason Holder.
